BYD has said it will introduce the Seagull in Europe. Like with the Dolphin it is actually an “international edition” which is larger than the China version. BYD now has a manufacturing plant in Hungary which will both decrease shipping costs and get around any possible tariffs. The plan is for this to be the least expensive EV in Europe.
From what The Electric Viking has to say it sounds like BYD plans to be pretty aggressive in the European market. It is projecting it will pass Tesla in that market. Maybe it can but it certainly has a long way to go.
For those in the UK or other right-hand drive countries, it sounds like there are no plans for a right-hand drive Seagull any time soon.
