When Tesla first started using Gigacastings we were told the following negatives:
- they car will not be as sturdy as one made in the traditional way
- if you are in an accident the car is a writeoff
Tossed in the mix was the typical “if it was a good idea everyone would be doing it”.
Well, Gigacasting have now been around long enough that we have cut through the FUD. Everything about using Gigacastings has proved to be positive and many car makers are now starting to use them.
