VW Is In Serious Trouble

VW just got the German union to agree to a layoff of 35,000 before 2030. Unfortunately, that may be way less than they have to lay off to stay afloat.

This is the result of negotiation after 120,000 union workers went on strike. As much as some would like to blame all this on EVs, it is more like it can be blamed on a lack of EVs. Or, more accurately, a lack of compelling EVs. VW went through horrible software that it eventually outsourced to a Chinese company. Next we have expensive (not LFP) batteries and, third, expensive but unexciting cars. They are in deep trouble.

Will they survive? Probably as they are just huge but probably not survive as they are in the market today. See more from The Electric Viking
