With electric motors their efficiency is very high — in the mid to high-90%s. So, what can be improved? Power to weight ratio. And YASA has seriously attacked that. We are talking about 13 kg for a 500 horsepower motor. Need more than 500 horsepower? Just put one at each wheel. Then compare the weight to what 2000 horsepower of internal combustion engine and drivetrain would weigh.
