There continues to be word battles about why EVs don’t make sense and followup posts to debunk the statements being made. The most common topics are such things as:
- It takes 80,000 or 100,000 km to “pay back” the environmental damage of making an EV
- EV batteries can’t be recycled
- The electric grid cannot support the demand of EVs
- EVs cost too much
I will say that all this is propaganda primarily funded by the petroleum industry and car makers who just weren’t ready for rising EV demand. But, that’s me. Tesla Jigsaw has put together a point-by-point response to what “Ken” has said. He covers a lot in a little over 10 minutes. There are more reasons EV are better but this is a great start.
