Did Germans finally decide to “get with the program”? And we are talking real EVs, not plug-in hybrids. Tesla Model Y leads the pack with 4795 cars sold in August. With sales of over 3000 we have the VW ID.3, VW ID.4, Cupra Born, Skoda Enyaq, Fiat 500e, Opel Corsa EV and Dacia Spring. At over 2000 we have the Hyundai Kona, Opel Mokka EV, Audi Q4 eTron, ORA Good Cat, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Mercedes EQA, Kia EV6, VW ID.5, BMW iX1 and Tesla Model 3. Finally, the top 20 is rounded out with BYD Atto 3 and Mini Cooper EV each selling almost 2000.
What I find interesting is that this is a nice assortment of vehicles from assorted vendors and countries. And an assortment of prices. That makes this feel like it is a real trend rather than just an anomaly. For more about this from The Electric Viking .
