Stellantis has announced that a $25,000 Jeep will be coming to America “soon”. At the moment is seems to be on the level of an official rumor but it sounds pretty interesting.
The question, of course, is what is it? Stellantis rhetoric tends to be on the side of inexpensive EVs are not possible. Thus, this could be a big change.
The Electric Viking takes a guess at what it could be. He suggests it could be the Jeep Avenger currently available in Europe. It’s price there is in the low €30,000s so, if he is right, the rumored price is probably assuming it will qualify for the $7,500 tax credit.
