I keep seeing 4-rotor drones being marketed as air taxi vehicles. While they work that seems like a very inefficient shape. Well, FlyNow is going to build something that is more like a phone booth (remember them) with rotors on top.
That seems like a way more efficient shape. Their play is to offer three models, one-passenger, two-passenger and cargo. Speed of 130 kph, range of 50 kilometers. This seems ideal for a trip to the airport or your hotel. These guys won’t exist until 2026 but maybe their will be cost-competitive with “stuck in traffic” modes of transport.
