Zipline has been doing long-distance drone deliveries of medical supplies for years. That, to me, is the most exciting part but their “new thing” is a short-distance delivery drone where the main drone travels to the destination and then a “sub-drone” makes the actual delivery while the parent drone stays at 400 feet. It’s pretty cool getting rid of noisy drones landing in your yard.
But, back to where they started. Much of the video is about their system in Rwanda used to deliver medical supplies over fairly long distances. Fairly-long meaning 150 miles round trip. It’s amazing and, besides that, it has saved many lives. The video will amaze you.
