A couple of weeks ago Reuters claimed the Tesla Redwood had been canceled. Then the rumors started — and I waited for the dust to settle. It has.
The story is that Redwood never was canceled and Tesla claims it will be introduced later this year or at the beginning of 2025. They went on to say that it will be produced using the Model 3 and Y production lines.
There is more to the story and The Electric Viking fills in the details. In particular, initial production will not reduce the cost as much as the unboxed plan but will get the product to market sooner.
All makes sense.
